It’s July 4th and the Dodgers are officially out of it. So, let’s first say this” “The American flag does not fly because the wind moves past it. It flies from the last breath of each military member who has died protecting it. Soldiers don’t fight because they hate what’s in front of them…they fight [...]

This 2011 version of the Dodgers may be hard to figure out, but I saw a bunch of happy excited young ballplayers last night when Tony Gwynn, Jr. drove in the winning run. In a season where victories have been few and sometimes, far-between, the Dodgers got another command performance from their Ace, and Tony [...]

Here’s something to contemplate: In 2010, practically every Dodger player regressesd or had a season below their norm. This makes me want to ask whether this was just a “bump in the road” or a “trend for the future“. Today, I am going to consider just tha,t and I am not going to reach any conclusion. [...]

So, if he's hurt, he has to go and if he's not, he has to go. The common denominator - he has to go! Maybe he can get it together somewhere else. He's a good dude. I have no issues with him personally, but baseball is a bottom-line business, and the bottom -line is the Dodgers cannot afford to keep him based upon "hope." My only fear is that no-one will take him for 7 mil. I will say this: If the Dodgers have to give him away, they will be better for it. Imagine what they could have gotten for Sherrill and Broxton in the offseason. Maybe J-Brox can end up in his home state. That just might be the ticket.
