02-04-08 - The Rest of the (Mattingly) Story

According to the Evansville Courier Press Don Mattingly’s wife was arrested on Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct over the weekend. Hopefully, this clears up why Mattingly is no longer our hitting instructor. A poster here said his wife was “difficult” (I’m trying to be nice), and I believe that we shouldn’t blame him for taking time off to deal with what appears to be a bad situation. He has kids, and this is a bad thing for them to have to deal with, even though that are adults or nearly adults. Our thoughts and prayers should be with be with the Mattinglys during this difficult time. Hopefully, Donnie can put this all behind him and return to the field. I went to http://www.donmattingly.com/about/about.html and got the other photo of Don and Kim Mattingly in happier days. It’s sad and I’m sure there is a story to tell I just don’t care to hear it!
