APRIL 28, 2006 MINOR LEAGUE REPORT


Chad Billingsley pitched a 1 hitter over 8 innings to raise his record to 3-0 and lower his ERA to 1.59.  Broxton pitched the 9th and still has a 0.00 ERA.  Guzman went yard for his 5th HR of the year.  Ethier, Guzman, Young and Truby all had 2 hits, while Loney went 3-4 to raise his BA to .438.

Justin Orenduff pitched 6 strong inning and deserved to win, but the Suns lost.  Hopefully, our Jacksonville Connection will provide a report.  Kemp continues to make a case to be the starting CF at vegas going 2-4 with 2 stolen bases.  Greg Miller pitched 2 innings and still hasn’t been scored upon in 12 innings this year.  LaRoche is still struggling at .231 and committed his 5th error of the season.

Blake DeWitt drew a bases-loades walk in the bottom of the ninth inning, lifting Vero Beach over Brevard County, 3-2, on Friday.
