It’s time for Pitbull!

How many 60 year olds even know who Ke$hia and Pitbull are?

I’m back in the High Life!

There is a long way to go.

I think the Dodgers can win it all – Kemp has to get back on line…. he will!

The key word is:

BUT… if you can make moves that help the team, do it!

  1. Badger says:

I know who they are. But I really don’t much care.

The best move is often patience. Keep giving all the guys their minutes and trust the talent.

Do you think the Mets might want Turner back?

  2. Badger says:

Turner is a lifetime .257 hitter (with little power) and it’s my opinion he won’t even hit that in LA. I think Guerrero would be of more help to this offense.

  3. Brooklyn Dodger says:

Heard Ron Darling (Mets broadcaster) during the offseason express surprise that the Mets let Justin Turner go. So he wanted Turner back.

There needs to be panic. People aren’t happy unless they have something to complain about.

  4. Bobby says:

I like all of our bitching.

Fact is we all expect this team to be in the World Series, and even a NLCS loss, much like last year, will be an extremely disappointing year.

This season needs to end with us in the World Series. That’s it

  5. Bball says:

If they’re going by the rule he’s safe. He was blocking the plate and didn’t have the ball. The ball actually made him come off the plate. So ya it’s a joke. Hanley should have ran him over

  6. jerry says:

i mensioned that the bull pen has been bad …and ever one said it was ok….from the ninth innning on the the other teams have scored 20 runs to 6. they just said that on the radio

  7. Watford Dodger says:

I never thought that 9th innings was gonna end. When a guy gets to hit twice in the bottom of the 9th you know something’s gone wrong.
I don’t really fancy any of them in the pen at the moment.
Wright has no control and has walked 7 so far. .302 ERA 1.85 WHIP
    Wilson can’t buy an out. 4 innings pitched – 8 hits – ERA .400 WHIP 3.20
League is getting better but you couldn’t seriously throw him the ball with any confidence.
Dominguez throws hard but lacks control and a it of movement. 7 walks in 5 innings pitched.
Howell has been ok although not as dominant as last season.
Kenley has struggled although his velocity is uk he has lost bit of control & movement on his cutter. 15 hits in 13 innings. 1.54 WHIP
Perez has been good although is strictly a one innings pitcher.
Withrow has been fine. 16Ks in 10 innings 0.67 ERA

I’m not really a stats man so really it’s what I see & feel. The pen is really struggling.

The batting is in 2 groups – Gordon, Uribe & Agon all hitting above .300 with SVS nearly with them. However this is really offset by Hanley, Puig & Crawford all struggling not to mention Ethier & Turner hitting under .200 not to mention Kemp hitting .211 with 20 strike outs in 57 at bats.
I won’t even go there with the Catchers, suffice to say there are 3 pitchers with better averages than FedEx’s 1.00 BA. Hundley looks a good option ( as suggested by D’romo).

    Then there is the fielding…….

It is amazing that we have a winning record. Kemp & Ethier need to step up quickly. They were the mainstays of the Mcourt era but we cannot wait for them to decide to get their heads out of their arses. Watching Kemp flailing at ball 4 in the 9th summed it up.

Sorry for the rant but we have far too many players way below their best to keep winning against decent opposition. The Rockies will be licking their lips. It’s lucky we are in the NL West. We would be less than .500 elsewhere.

  8. Watford Dodger says:

Beckett tonight then Maholm tomorrow. Fingers crossed with that.
Luckily Grienke & Ryu have been fantastic. Get Kershaw back soon and it’s still a great rotation.
SVS playing his way into the team – a must against lefties.
    Crumbs of comfort.

  9. Idaho Al says:

I agree “don’t panic”. However, the Dodgers certainly know how to break your heart. There are fewer pitchers coming out of the bullpen that you can trust.

  10. Roger Dodger says:

This is not my father’s team nor a very solid team right now. It is like the Dodgers are also into extended Spring Training —

trying to find out who is the 2nd baseman?

which catcher to use the most?

which 7 guys should be in the pen?

are there 5 starters who can pitch and win?

which of the 4 outfielders do you play in the next game?

will Ned make a trade soon?

will a player be brought up from AAA or AA to help out?

16 games so far have been against the N.L West – a weak division.

6 games against = 4 with the Phillies, 2 with the Tigers

In the last 10 games, the Dodgers are 4 & 6 — but what is amazing they are in 1st place with a 1/2 game lead. What is scary is: the 3 and 4 teams are only 1 and 2 games behind — so that the Dodgers could be in 4 place in a matter of days if not careful. And the next two games are pretend starters.

Other than that — have a nice filled day.
