I have been struggling with this for almost two years, but I have finally made the decision that this is my last blog post. It has been a great run but I no longer have the passion for it. I will always be a Dodger fan, but I am content to read what others write. It’s just a transition. Let me explain why:
FAMILY: I have 5 kids and 3 grand kids who always seem to be around (and I like it). My 13-year-old is going to be a high school QB and I never miss a game. All of our kids have their own businesses and we support them in that.
My daughter and I are growing our relationship after 26 years apart.
My grand daughters are awesome.
And, of course my Wife, Patty deserves more quality time.
BUSINESS: I have been blessed to be able to find our niche and grow it during bad times. Instead of “doing” the business, my role has changed to being the visionary and lots of writing and blogging about the business so as to keep it growing. This is our family’s lifeblood and I can’t neglect it.
I am also involved with www.giftofwater.org and have no time left for this blog.
I will probably sell this URL. Feel free to post as long as it is up. I also have a bunch of other sports sites that I will sell: ChicagoProSports.com, CincyProSports.com, IndyProSports.com, LAProSports.com and a mess of others.

Best of luck Mark. I fully understand how you feel. I’ve cut my own blogging in recent months due to other commitments that have cut into my time. I think I’m headed in the same direction, i.e., reading what others write. I am certain that I will not be posting on any other blogs.

Mark I have been reading/ posting on ur blog for about two years. You have quit writing I think 4 times since then so do I believe u NO but if this is the end I wish u all the best and thanku for a great 2 year run. My passion is the dodgers and since I’ve found this site I’m looking at least ten times a day so I say a huge thanku to u. Take care and I really hope this is not the end

I feel the same way Brooklyn. I miss the old days of posting, when people had actual discussions and skin wasnt so thin. This place has been interesting and I like the format, but I too will just be reading the other blogs. Maybe I’ll see you around. I’ve really enjoyed your posts these last few months. That goes for Pete, quas, my old friends Gonzo and Roger, truth, Bill, Bball, and especially Mountain Mover.

Wow, I guess I understand. While this has become a less important part of your life its been the opposite for me. I feel like one of those runners fallowing Forrest Gump after he said “I’m pretty tired”….But thank you Mark. You’ve provided us with a most pure place to gather. Eh, I have dabbled with this and I’m not the guy. I am gone a lot and have time to check in and be opinionated but not the time nor motivation to do what Mark does.
I would like to see Mark just keep this open daily so we can offer whatever is on our minds. I think for the most part this is a good group with varying opinions and decent communication skills. And we all obviously love the Dodgers.
And for the record I like Ethier. I would have made the move on Bourn, but since we didn’t I am back on the ‘dre mobile.
