The Mac is Back

To no one’s surprise, Mike MacDougal re-signed with the Dodgers, and the complaints have started because he allowed too many inherited runners to score.  A 2.04 ERA ain’t what it used to be in the era of WHIP, FIP and ZIP (OK, I just made that last one up).  I’m not saying Mac is the second coming, but I am saying he is “depth” and you need a few guys who can fill the gap between the starter and closer – yeah he’s a “middle-man” and he is what he is,  If he were better, he’d be a closer.  I’ll take him, and maybe he won’t be as good as last year… but he fills a role.

If it’s any consolation, I expect Matt Guerrier to be better in his second season in the NL.  He had some person distractions last year.  Look for better focus this season.

Hey, Alex Cora wants to play and coach this season. Ned, he is only 36 years old, still a young kid really.

Alex has made over $14 million in his career. Been in 4 years of post season.

Heck of a player . . . he would fit right in with the rest of the guys.

Alex is playing for the Dodgers. He just got a little whiter and younger, got some tats and changed his name to Justin Sellers.
