23-Year Old Cy Young Award Winner Who Is One Of The Top Five Pitchers in Baseball.
How much would you have to pay for that?
That’s a bargain.
What a deal!
Pay him and smile!
So with the dodgers signing loney does that give up hope for fielder or not necessarily
I truely feel that Fielder is going to sign a short term deal. Hopefully next year we can revisit the Prince.
Just thinking out loud here:
Ethier and Loney sign for a combined $17 million.
That is in the budget now, right?
Could Ethier be traded for pitching (a starter, not elite but solid)? Loney sent somewhere as well. Clearing room within the budget for a run at Fielder? $15- $17 million this year backload the rest of the contract (a la Pujols’ deal with the Angels?)
I am totally just thinking out loud. I know it won’t happen but what do you all think?
Kershaw is not Koufax but he is better than Marilyn Manson. $8 mil is the correct number, $10 mil is too much, but $6.5 is such an insult that the arbitrator will definitely award $10 mil. The Dodgers just told Kershaw that they do not care whether he leaves in 3 years to go to the Yankess and make $20 mil per year even though the Dodgers will have a new TV contract and could afford to pay him $25 mil per year.
But once Frank is gone and Ned if fired, it will be forgotten.
There are no mysteries in these numbers. Clayton and or his agent wants $8 mil[has a good clue what the counter proposal will be] so to achieve that a $ 10 mil bid is submitted. Really it’s not rocket science.
With 25 mil going to be the price of a Lincicum, Hamels or Verlander by 2013, Kershaw is just a little younger with 3 Arbitration years left before FA. If we had some money I would try to sign him for 2 years and $24 or all 3 fo $44.
D Romo, if you trade away Ethier for a pitcher, we would still have to pay the pitchers salary that we are getting in return. Also the salary of who ever Loney brings back. Not sure we could pull that off with Bud’s approval. I’m still burning over the Chris Paul non trade to the Lakers. No faith in the sporting world right now.
Here comes the money (Here we go, money, Uh)
Here comes the money
Cut the Chatter
You ain’t talking money
Then your talking don’t matter
You make a dolla dolla
Can’t a damn so stop it(?)
Here comes the new kid on the block
Hold all your bets here’s where the buck stops
See first of all I am steppin’ out on my own
Bout time I elevated to claim my own thrown
Success in my blood
Call it home grown
Pores reakin’ testosterone
Power and money got me crazy, cocky
No longer need you papi
I know your mad because you can’t stop me
and if you wonder how this playa done scooped your honey
I think she smelled my cologne
It’s called brand new money
Making (something?) movement ain’t a damn thing funny
Pimpin’ hood rats and playboy bunnies
They see the…
They Say Its
They Say Its
I’m global dolla dolla
and roll with bout 50
Like to go out smelling fresh and lookin’ spiffy
Don’t like clean money
I want my riches to be filthy
cause with everytime it’s fun
I get done til I’m 60
So what am I supposed to do
Roll in two
Stand there pattin the pockets
‘Till I’m stackin’ only two
Got the cash in lumps
It’s a four wheel here to jack
and I’m selling them out my trunk
Whenever, whatever it takes to shake down a dolla
Although in that direction wait a minute
All wants to know
Where they go
Where they went
and I’m makin monster money
smellin just like a mint
… uh OK
