Hiroki will be in Pinstripes in 2012. I figured him for Boston or NY. So it was no surprise.
The question now becomes whether Ned did the right thing in signing Capuano and Harang instead of Kuroda. I guess time will tell, but I think the fact that he decided to sign them instead of Hiroki was a not about time, but rather – timing! I think Ned might have paid $10 mil for Hiroki, but at the time he signed Capuano and Harang, Hiroki was seeing a two-year deal in the vicinity of $14 mil a year.
Lots of people think this was a bad deal (not signin g Kuroda and signing Harang and Capuano). I really have no opinion yet – Time will tell, but timing was the reason. It’s all about timing.
I am still haunted about Russell Martin, who was my favorite Dodger (behind Andy LaRoche). What happened to him? Better yet, what happened to LaRoche? Boy, was I wrong about that one…

I always liked Kuroda, but I personally feel he might be an energy risk at his age.
