In a senseless act of violence, the Daughter of Dodger scout John Green was killed in the Tuscon supermarket shooting. I don’t want to
give any publicity to the lunatic who did this, and I am not of the ilk of being politically correct and calling him a “disturbed person” (he’s a lunatic), but I think it is time that America re-thinks the policy of automatic weapons. I wonder if our founding fathers would have endorsed the “right to bear arms” if there had been automatic weapons capable of expelling death at a quickness only realized by modern technology. There are always going to be lunatics, but the availability of these “hand weapons of mass destruction” needs to be revisited by the people (not the politicos).
Rest in Peace Christina Green . She was born on 9-11-01.
I’ll talk Dodgers tomorrow. This is a shameful tragedy for the family of Dallas and John Green and for the entire Dodger family.
I wonder is Congresswoman Patricia Giffiords (who is in critical condition) will still be a “guns rights activist” if she recovers.
She was one of 19 Democrats who voted against House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi for speaker this week and was/is obviously a good person (politics aside).
Just my opinion about a tragedy that could have been avoided…
