Just The Facts

Just The Facts

Lawrence Delevingne, a writer at  The Business Insider, sent me this link to his article The Nastiest Billionaire Divorce Ever: Jamie And Frank McCourtIt deals with the facts and not the rampant speculation that some of you state as facts.  It’s a worthwhile read, if you want to know all the players in this process.

Dodger Stuff:

My 2 Cents:

  • Jamie Carroll will be a utilityman this year – DeWitt or DeBelli will start.
  • It’s possible that the Dodgers may carry only 4 outfielders as Carroll and Blake can both play OF.
  • Most of the players on the 40-man roster are in camp.  That’s a good sign.

I just read that! Did you find it at DodgerDivorce? It’s there, along with several other great reads.

    Belliard starts. Just a hunch.

I think Repko makes the team. They won’t put Blake in the outfield. Another hunch.

    Off to P.T..

No, Lawrence Delevingne sent me an e-mail with the link.

I see you guys are still following the circus, I guess there isn’t much else to talk about in here for the time being. Hey MM, how about some reports from the ST and less about the divorce. Okay I admit I don’t check in here very often so maybe you are talking about those things. It just seems when I do check in here (once a month) it is the same old discussion. Give me some good old fashioned, ill-informed and ill-represented political “facts” from Badrory, that stuff is hilarious.

Badrory, I bet you loved that supreme court decision a few weeks ago, I know it goes beyond your comprehension to understand it, but I would laugh to see, I mean, love to see your take. I will wager that you think the media (news corporations) should have special rights to voice their opinions while you would like to silence other corporations that don’t share your political slant, I mean, view. Nailed it didn’t I, once again. You are a beaut Badrory.

    From Rob Neyer and ESPN:

    * Here’s why owners don’t want us to see their books. According to Jamie McCourt, Frank McCourt “keeps two of his sons on the Dodgers’ payroll — at a combined annual salary of $600,000 — ‘despite the fact that one is a graduate student at Stanford and the other works full-time for Goldman Sachs.’” The Players Association does have access to everything, but we don’t. Just remember this, the next time an owner claims to be losing money.

    Oh my!

We got trouble, that’s right we got big, big trouble! Right here, yes, right here in River City! With a capital “Tee” and that rhymes with “fee” and that stands for “Frank’s fools.”

Just out of curiosity, are your parents siblings?

Buster_ESPN: Best line of the spring so far: Andrew Jones showed up in great shape, about 25 pounds lighter than last year. And he proclaimed to (cont).
Buster_ESPN: others, “I am the best CFer you guys have in camp.” To which Joey Cora replied, “You should be. Only pitchers and catchers have reported.”

Nice try OD. Not gonna bite. I know you have been around lurking in the weeds. It is where you live.

On that same divorce site is a list of the McFrankenjamie’s team of lawyers. It’s a who’s who of high profile celebrity legal eagles and is no doubt costing each of them thousands per hour. What a waste, spending Dodger money on lawyers.

Andruw Jones. Not exactly one of Jed’s shining moments is it.

Yep, not much else to talk about yet.

So let’s review the latest top 50 prospects:

Dodgers with two in the top 50. Giants with two in the top 10.

  9. ken says:

More allegations of tax fraud imputed in the briefs. If true the Dodgers will have new owners in less than 3 years. According to Dodger Divorce, Franks is deducting the principle portion of the debt payments. If true that can only happen with an ESOP (which we know does not exist) or a basis boost tax strategy, most of which are illegal. The plot thickens.

  10. Bill Russell says:

Can this team be saved before it’s too late? Please lock up the youngsters for the next 3 years. We will have to ride it out over the next few years together it seems. The only problem is I will be 3 years older.
