I’m Just Sayin’

I’m Just Sayin’

MikeSciosciaEarlier today I was called out by “A Guy” because “you sometimes have good info, but the presentability is really killed by the constant typos and spelling mistakes. If you could eliminate those, your writing would look much better.”

Oh well, you can’t please everybody.  I have already said that I can’t type with 3 fingers on my right hand due to a motorcycle accident when I was 17 (it really affects nothing else I do, but maybe it was the reason I could never throw a curve-ball), and that I am a speed reader and a slow-typer (bad combo – I think much faster than I can type).

I am also not a writer, but when I want/have to, I have written some unbelieveable stuff (Lawdog can tell you about it).

I have a life… and a job (which lately consumes 12-14 hours a day). Actually, I run/own two companies.

That doesn’t make me better than anyone -it just means I am probably busier!

I am also writing a book (which I guarantee will make the NY Times Top 10 – not bad for a “poor writer”).

I do motivational speaking, and

I never miss my sons’ baseball, basketball or football games.

I take my family on many vacations and do a lot of volunteer work.

No big deal – I like it!  I chose to do it.

I like this blog, but it’s only a few minutes of my life a day (right now a few minutes a week).

It’s not a high priority (as evidenced by the shoddy work you have pointed out).

I like doing it… to a point, but it’s not what I really want to do when “I grow up.”

A Guy,

I write under my own REAL Name, which you don’t on this blog in your comments, but you don’t even use your real name when you write on your own blog!

Your blog is pretty good sometimes.  I read it.   Nobody knows who you are or what blog you have…

But, I do!

I just wanted you to know that I know!

i love your typos and your blog

  2. A Shot of Haeger says:

I like this blog….. it amuses me and entertains me. Not much more a man can ask for when choosing reading material.

    Good job mover

  3. You are one of the best on the web! You never fail to be honest, and you always call it like you see it. I felt a little inspiration after reading this post. Keep doing your thing and don’t ever stop.

  4. lawdog says:

I dunno. Maybe “a guy” has a point. Wouldn’t we all be much better human beings and exhibit our aristocratic nature more completely if Mover insisted that all posts made by people who refuse to identify themselves openly and want to hide behind anonymous monikers should be in old Shakespearean English?

To be or not to be. That is the question? Wether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or by opposing, end them?

“Tis true, tis pity, and pity, tis,tis true!”

One day we ran out of all provisions and had to survive on food and water.

On the whole, I’d of rather have been in Philadelphia.

In the beginning God created Man in his own image, and man, being a gentleman, returned the favor.

Say what? “Alas poor Yoreck. I knew him Horatio….” He wasn’t just “a guy” named Magic Johnson.

  5. A Shot of Haeger says:

You can all call me Lear

  6. A Shot of Haeger says:

Just for info sakes… Ed price from AOLFan something or other says Randy Wolf is about to sign a three year deal with Milwaukee

  7. Bill Russell says:

Are you guys all raggin on my spellin again? Well how about that. I stop writtin for awhile and check back in for this crap. Thank God the LA area still has a great sports team to follow. That’s right I’m speaking about the Lakers. Go Purple and Gold…….
I wish I could get excited about the Dodgers again this winter but I don’t see their name mentioned in any FA signings or trades other then Juan Pierre’s on the block. Our hot stove is kinda cold this year. I just hope that Santa will bring us Mark Cuban for Xmas. Or anyone with deep pockets. Peace………….

  8. Badger says:

I have deep pockets on my Cabella shorts. Of course, they are empty. And they are the bottom drawer. Sort of like the Dodgers.

Mover, you don’t need to explain yourself to those who know you.

Wolf in Milwaukee. I have been to Milwaukee. On the whole, I would rather be in L.A..

  9. Harold says:

Mark you never have to apologize for what you write and especially how you write it. What is life without typos?

This is a great blog, absolutely one of the best. It is a service you provide for Dodger fans, and others if they wish, free of charge. Your site is informative and provocative. No one has to post on it if they are not satisfied with the spellin’ or sumthin’. Would be wise if they concentrated on the substance and the posts you elicit from those who read it and respond. I don’t post very often as my knowledge of “things blue” is from so far away, the east coast of Canada. However, I read it and the posts on it each day, sometimes using your info or other’s posts, on the ThinkblueLA site, without your expressed written permission. I have developed a group of friends there that started back in out ITD days.

Thanks for what you do to bring the Dodger world closer to me.

  10. A Shot of Haeger says:

    That’s great Harold, eh

  11. Ty says:

Tell “A Guy” to stop being a douche. The blog is good and I haven’t even noticed the typos and misspelled words. This is a blog not War and Peace.

  12. Bill Russell says:

“A guy” must be a englest teacher. Or he just happened to notice some mispellings and wanted to be the first to say so. Let me say, “good job” we all could have done the same. I bet he didn’t get called on much in class and didn’t get noticed sittin in the back row. Maybe he didn’t wash behind his ears and girls never looked his way. A guy, if you’re going to pick on Mark for something, how about some of his crazy trade idea’s. That would be the time to jump in with your baseball insight and not the enggish lessons. If Mark could spell any better, we would all be paying for the use of this site. Now that would be a cryin shame. Hey A guy, if you want to help out, buy a water system if Mark will sell it to ya.

Go Ned. Try to sign us a minor leaguer or something today. We need a lift.

  13. New guy says:

Another guy got to Mark again…
    Mark’s too easy….

  14. Badger says:

Mark is a caring, sensitive guy.

Just checked the MLB winter meeting update and – lots of talk but not about the Dodgers.

I think maybe these meetings are just another excuse to get away from home and have somebody else pay for it. Why Indianapolis in December? Got me. If it were my choice, I think I would rather have a few adult beverages and stay out late in Fort Lauderdale or Cancun.

  15. Mark Timmons says:

I may be easy, but I like being that way…
