I don't think there is a need for Lambo to play first base. He was signed as first baseman, and probably would have little difficulty moving back there. For now he's blocked at that position, and probably needs all the reps he can get in the outfield. He likely won't be ready until 2011 at the earliest. There's plenty of time to shift him back to first if the need should ever materialize.

I like "The Mark Plan" I don't know that it will happen but I like it.

Word on the street is Marco Scutaro is on the radar. I know if you look at his numbers alone he isn't that impressive but if you have ever seen him play this guy is solid. It might be a steal.

Question for the group: Has anyone heard anything about Lambo seeing time at 1B? He had a little work ther in the past. I wouldn't mind seeing him get more playing time there and if Loney doesn't increase productivity we will have an option there. In NO Way do I want to break up Kemp/Ethier to make room for anyone for the next 5 years.

OF COURSE the Dodgers should offer arbitration to both Hudson and Wolf. That is actually a no brainer.

But then, no brainer is exactly who we have at the top of this organization. And if arbitration is not offered, when everybody above the 4th grade can see it is the smart thing to do, isn't that a first step in the wrong direction?
