Kuroda
Wolf
Kershaw
Ethier
I was going to say Kuroda, Wolf and Kurveshaw, but Gonzo beat me to it!
KEMP
I’m going with Matt Kemp, and Kuroda, Wolf and Kershaw
Can you print these posters with SD colors for when he’s traded to the Padres after the season?
I am going out on a limb and say a lead-off Hr by Furcal
Kuroda, Wolf and Kershaw
The Bison and the Kid have already been suggested so I’ll say Manny.
OK. Wolf, Kuroda, Kershaw. And the first HR will be Belliard!
BTW Thanks for posting the poster with the date the postseaon starts. Looks like I know I will be out “sick” on Oct. 7….COUGH….COUGH…COUGH!!
WOLF KURODA KERSHAW
ETHIER
I am suprised Garland is getting no love from any of us as a starter. He has been great for us, also he has postseason experience. And was MONEY for the ChiSox in 05.
Do the rules allow us to change our minds, Mark?
I’m gonna say first player to hit a home run will be Russel Martin
Kuroda, Wolf and Garland.
Manny.
Kuroda, Billingsley, Wolf
HR – Ronnie
I’m going to win, because I can go back and change history.
Just Kidding!
HR-Loney
As Russell is the “black hole” in the lineup, can we get a poster of the peanut vendor instead?
It’s nice to have a “Black Hole” with a .356 OB%.
Can a “peanut vendor” do that?
Of all full-time starting NL catchers, only Yadier Molina has a higher OB% and he only has 2 more RBI than Martin.
Russ is having a bad year and he’s still among the best!
Give him a break.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to play his position?
He has more AB than any NL catcher.
And, he is the signal-caller for the BEST PITCHING STAFF IN BASEBALL!
“It’s nice to have a “Black Hole” with a .356 OB%.” — Mark Timmons
“EXSQUEEZE ME?” — Blue Haze (& Wayne)
Martin’s OBP WRISP and WRISP/2 outs is .400.
So put that in your turca and fire it up.
BTW, that bum Ryan Howard, you know the guy with 180 K’s, just drove in his 130th. But with all those strike outs who would want him on their team?
Surprise Surprise Surprise. Insulin Bill Crashed at exactly 100 minutes into the game.
I just checked the box – we have left a collective 30 men on base. Yoiks. That’s how you lose to crappy teams like the Nats. You do that to play-off teams and you will get blown out.
What’s this about a magic number of 3? The magic number is 7+. We cannot set the bar low. This team needs home field against the Phils and/or the Cards.
I can’t believe we lost this game. It’s almost like we were giving it away. Bases loaded, Nobody out and lucky to score 1 run? Where was Broxton? McDonald is a choker. He is not ready for prime time. Not even close.
Blake hits the HR. Wolf, Kershaw and Kuroda.
CBills This is a mental problem. It’s the dreaded 6th inning. How mant times has he lost it in the 6th? It can’t be a coincidence, anymore.
Is it the second game of a road trip where everyone is tired? Because it sure looked like it.
From the previous thread:
“Look, I don’t have time to go back, but I had this same conversation with someone about Young 2 or 3 years ago. I argued that his swing was too big and had too many holes and that he would have to cut it down and become less of a power hitter or fail. He failed. Can he come back? Don’t know!
It’s not a stretch to say that Reynolds might be having a career year and will fall back. The Dodgers have figured out how to pitch him.
In 2007 as a rookie, he hit .382 against the Dodgers.
In 2008, he hit .227.
In 2009, he has hit .177.
The more games, the Dodgers have pitched to him, the worse he has done, because they know how to pitch him.
I have a belief that the rest of the league will figure out what the Dodgers have, and I don’t think he can adjust.
Watch and see.”
MY COMMENTS FOLLOW:
Chris Young followed his 32 HRs in 2007 with 22 in 2008. Reynolds has followed his 28 HRs in 2008 with 43 and counting this year. He’s young and improving. And while Casey Blake may be the “Foundation”, everything I’ve heard about Reynolds indicates that he’s a hard working, hustling player who is a positive presence in the clubhouse. Besides, we have more than a few good clubhouse guys on this team. A big time power hitting third baseman with speed, who just happens to be a good guy in the clubhouse, is worth Casey Blake and then some.
But really it’s all moot, since I don’t believe the Diamondbacks would anything less than a king’s ransom for Reynolds. And the price for the Dodgers would likely be more.
Thank you Brooklyn. Well said.
But, he won’t be coming to L.A. anytime soon. His contract status is as follows:
2009: Near Minimum, 2010: Super Two?, 2011-13: Arb. Eligible, 2014: Free Agent
The dbacks control him for a long time. He should have his most productive years, the next 4 anyway, right here in Arizona. If it gets nasty in arbitration, there could be talk of moving him, but, I really doubt it. The fans love him down here, the organization and his teammates speak very highly of him.
Wolf, Kershaw, Kuroda.
Kemp hits the homer.
Donnie T-Ball it is time for Coaching Fever. Go help Kemp, Manny, Martin, Pierre, and Hudson
This was a cow flop game if there ever was one. I hope they got it out of their system. It was PAINFUL.
I heard Hudson left the game with a wrist injury?
Wolf, Kuroda, Kershaw
HR- Ramirez
here’s the thing… Home run won’t be hit until game 2

News: Dodgers 2B Orlando Hudson left Wednesday’s loss to the Nationals with a jammed left wrist after reaching on an error to open the ninth inning. He finished 0 for 3 with a walk in the game and is batting .286 on the year. Hudson tripped over Adam Dunn’s leg at first and went sprawling, hurting his wrist when he broke his fall. His last two seasons have been shortened by left wrist surgery. [...]
I bet Belliard will be the starting 2nd in the playoffs.
Starting Pitchers: Kuroda, Wolf, Garland
First Homerun: Andre Ethier
Bill’s, kuroda, kershaw, HR Blake
Jim Thome hits the first Home Run
Kuroda, Wolf, Padilla
Some good news on Odog. Looks like we might see DeWitt play a few games.
Second baseman Orlando Hudson left Wednesday’s game in the ninth inning after reaching base on an error, after tripping over Nationals first baseman Adam Dunn’s leg and jamming his left wrist in the fall. He is listed as day-to-day but said the injury was not serious. … Third baseman Casey Blake was out of the lineup after tweaking his left leg breaking out of the box Tuesday night on a home run. He is expected to miss a few days as a precautionary
It would be nice to put together a win streak so these guys who are dinged up can heal up. But securing home field might take til the end of the year. We are going to need the first team to do that. There are still 6 divisional games left on the schedule and you know the Pads and Rocks will bring their A game against us.
Kuroda, Kershaw, Wolf
HR – Manny !!!!
Lineup: Kuroda, Kershaw, Wolf
First HR: Casey Blake
Hey mark if we win how do we give u our info and other stuff ????
First homerun- Matt Kemp
I say Wolf, Kuroda, and Garland
HR Manny
