We are a bit behind, so we’ll play catch up and report all 3 days we missed:
AAA – Albuquerque Isotopes
7/28 – Charlie Haeger went 9 innings and allowed 2 runs to gain his 10th win, against 6 loses (3.74 ERA). Doug Mientkiewicz played his first game as DH and went 0-5. Mitch Jones (.302) hit his 26th HR.
7/29 – Cory Wade pitche 1/2 of an inning on a loss and allowed no runs.
7/30 – The Isotopes won 23-6 on 19 hits. Mitch Jones homered and Abreu was 2-3. AJ Ellis has a .424 OB% (2.99 BA), but here’s a telling stat: in 204 AB, he has ZERO HR and 6 Extra Base Hits. That’s in Albuquerque, where the ball flies. I think he’s relegated to being a 2nd or 3rd string due to his bat. 6 Extra Base hits? WOW! Josh lindblom (2.89) pitched 2 scoreless innings.
AA- Chattanooga Lookouts
Lucas May is hitting .307. James Adkins pitched 7.1 innings, allowing 4 hits and 2 runs in a quality start. Lambo is at .268 with 29 doubles and 11 HR. Javy Guerra is at 3.48 and struck out 2 in his last 1 inning outing.
High A – Inland Empire 66′ers
Tim Sexton pitched 8 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 run (0 BB, 4 K’s) in route to his 7th win (7-9/.315 ERA). Trayvon Robinson (.306) went 3-4 in one of the games. Chris Withrow went 3 and allowed 4 hits , 1 runs and 3 K’s
Low A – Great Lakes Loons
Dee Gordon (.310 – the Dodgers say he is untouchable) had 8 hits in the 3 games. Redding won his 12th game against 3 loses.
