Ethier has a strong throwing arm. He's no Kemp, but he's defintely above average. He ust hasn't had a lot of opportunities to show it off tis year.

We'll be right as rain when Manny comes back in 14 days. If you told me we'd be 20 games over .500 2 weeks before Manny's return I'd have called you a silly ass dreamer.

You guys want to totally laugh your asses off? Go check ut these cartoons which have nothing to do with baseball, but are funnier than hell in a very bipartisan way:

There is a time that one must forget the big N.L. West lead. About 3 months from now we move from the season to the post-season.

Players cannot walk on to the field and say, "We had a 12 games lead in the N.L. West, why do we not
just go back to the clubhouse, have a few beers and go out for dinner. We declare that we will win this game."

There is a time that a team makes a statement. The Dodgers did almost everything they could to win that game last night. But again the Angels (who own the Dodgers), in the end, were the better team. They did what they had to do to win.

I turned on the Cub - Cleveland game for a few minutes when the Indians had a very big lead. The Cub announcers said something like, "You know, the Cubs might come back and win this game, wilder thing has happen once an awhile." Later, the Cubs did come back, and now they are energized.

relax my friends.. its only one game, one series and one a.l. team that owns the dodgers..look at the big picture.dodgers are still the best team in baseball and there was a lot of positives to take home from last nights game.the defense was amazing and 2 hrs against a pretty good pitcher like saunders was great.martin's and furcal's swing looked to have life in them.mota took the loss because he missed location but him and leach are looking better every outing.bills struggled with location but kept the team in the game and left with a tie;but a couple of clutch hits w/ bases loaded 2 times and he would have gotten his 10th win.the dodgers didnt get that clutch hit and the angels did get that bases loaded hit from izturis and a hr from rivera.thats the story.the dodgers didn't roll over to the angels like the in the past.they played a great game decide by one bad pitch..go dodgers..
