Haeger is a knuclke baller. not a sinkerballer.

  2. CaptainLoose says:

    Knuckle balls sink.

I wonder if this guy will eventually have to be given a spot on the Major League roster. I just don't know how the Dodger staff can hold up for 162 games.

  3. lawdog says:

He's looked awfully good on the farm. Figures I'd wing it and call him a sinkerballer based on his ERA . I'd love to see another Charlie Hough on our team! My bad!

  4. Evan says:

He throws a knuckle ball and a fastball. He will throw a slider maybe one time a game. He will throw a fastball on unexpected counts 1-2 and surprise hitters. He has copleted two game this season. If he can get the knuckle ball to dance he is very effective, but when it doesn't have movement he gets hit hard. He had one bad game at the begging of the season, but since then he has been good. He is a fun pitcher to watch.

  5. Evan says:

I have some cool pics of him on my blog.

  6. Mark_Timmons says:

You just never know what will happen with a knuckleballer. Most have very short careers… in the minors and then there's Tim Wakefield.

  7. lawdog says:

Some knuckleballers have long careers. No stress on the arm. I actually could throw one when I was a kid–just couldn't get it to dance 20% of the time. When that happened it got hit hard!
