12-07-07 - LIAR, LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE!
For the past few weeks we have busied ourselves reading baseless rumor after baseless rumor. We slice, dice, mince, chop and dissect these rumors and castigate our GM or someone else, when in fact the rumor was started by some blogger or worse, a fish hack! Most rumors had A-Rod going to the RedSox, Dodgers or Angels, then WHAM>>> He’s a Yankee! Torre to the Dodgers wasn’t even a rumor. There were enough words written about Cabrera to the Dodgers, Mets, Angels, RedSox to wrap the word 12 times and WHAM>>> Cabrera and Willis are Tigers - no one even saw that one coming! Hunter to the Angels? Right out of the clear blue. Other bloggers and fish hacks reported that Ned denied making a $36 million/2 year offer to Andeuw Jones and that Borass would protract this to get more money and WHAM>>> he’s a Dodger!
