12-07-07 - It’s Time to Get Serious About Andy LaRoche
We speak in terms of how well Andy LaRoche will do if he is healthy or if he gets a chance, but what do we really know about Andy LaRoche? Well, we know that he’s from a baseball family, with his brother being a current major leaguer and his father being a former major league pitcher, but what do we really know about him? Is he an injury risk? Is he a rookie who has a strong liklihood of failure due to his plate discipline or skills? Well, I have seen Andy LaRoche for the past 3 Springs and some the past September and I am going to put in my two cents. But, before I do that, let’s consider his minor league stats:
